Paleobotanist Mark Brown guides through you through the flora of Normandy in this gorgeous documentary.
Mark Brown is a paleobotanist who has devoted his life to a crazy project: recreating a primary forest in his own garden in Normandy. Pierre Creton’s film lets Mark Brown guide us, walk after walk, in search of the endemic plants of the Pays-de-Caux and takes us on an enchanting journey across the landscapes of the region, interspersed with close-ups on flowers transfigured by the 16mm print. Flower after flower, in a low voice, as if intimidated by so much beauty, Mark Brown improvises a commentary, between science and poetry.
Special screening: UK Premiere introduced by Cyril Neyrat, artistic director of FID Marseille
