Edinburgh – Filmhouse

November 30, 2025 @ 18:00

After many years, Suzanne and her two children unexpectedly show up at the home of her sister Jeanne.

Initially it looks as though Suzanne is tentatively attempting to re-establish a relationship with her sister. However, this illusion is shattered with the morning light: Suzanne has gone. Nathan Ambrosioni’s intimate film is a portrait of a woman forced to become a mother to children she barely knows. A reflection on the fragile nature of co-existence born of necessity, and how strong it can be when born out of love.
