Malik Oussekinean's death is believed to be caused by an affair of police violence after several weeks of student protests.

From director Rachid Bouchareb, Our Brothers is based on the story of 22-year-old Malik Oussekine, whose death is believed to have been caused by police violence after several weeks of student protests against a university reform bill in 1986. Oussekine’s older brother Mohamed (Reda Kateb) tries to determine what happened to Malik and discovers that the police will stop at nothing to hide their misconduct.
