Singer Juliette Armanet plays Cécile, a celebrity chef who returns home to help out at her parents’ roadside restaurant.

She was about to open her own gourmet restaurant in Paris, finally making her dream come true, when suddenly her father has a heart attack, and she is called back to her village. Far from the hubbub of big city life, she runs into her teenage crush. The memories come flooding back, destabilising her certainties.

With shades of the musical tradition of Jacques Demy, director Amélie Bonnin delivers an upbeat narrative carried along by a jukebox hits by the likes of Céline Dion, Claude François and Michel Delpech. The film opened the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
