Non-binary trans photographer Laurence Philomène is undergoing hormone replacement therapy and documenting their transition in a self-portrait project.
Their project “Puberty” exposes intimate details of transgender life, such as testosterone injections and non-binary nudity. Following Laurence’s creative process, the film explores what it means for Laurence to be transgender and how it impacts their life, relationships and art. Laurence’s colourful and artistic photography both empowers and humanises trans-experience, while raising awareness for trans rights and visibility.
