A struggling voice impressionist is hired by a reclusive novelist to act as his human answering machine, only for the mimic to gradually take over the writer's real life and relationships

Baptiste (Salif Cissé) has a rare gift for perfectly imitating voices, but his comedy career stalls –until he is hired to answer the phone for famous writer Pierre Chozène (Denis Podalydès) who needs undisturbed peace and quiet to write his most ambitious text yet. He suggests that Baptiste become his ‘answering machine’ by pretending to be him on the phone. Little by little, Baptiste doesn’t just imitate the writer: he develops his character.

This inventive comedy explores identity, chaos, and life without constant mobile interruptions, with hilarious and unexpected consequences.
