BIENVENUE / WELCOME TO FFF@HOME – THE SEQUEL
12 – 27 March 2021
Many of you may have missed out on some of the top titles in the selection of the 28th edition of the French Film Festival UK due to Covid-related disruption. We have secured six great titles: five from our 2020 edition and and a popular choice from a previous festival. The films will screen over 3 weekends in March – two per weekend.
Booking opens on 1 March with the first showings available from 12 March, the night the French film industry salutes the best films and talents of last year in the César awards.
Who knows – one (or several) of the films you choose may be a winner!
The titles comprise (in order of appearance) Love Affairs, a romantic entanglement in the French countryside by Emmanuel Mouret; Anne Fontaine’s police thriller Night Shift with Lupin’s Omar Sy and Virginia Efira; Lucas Belvaux’s Home Front on the them of the recurring shadow of Algeria with Gérard Depardieu; Jean-Paul Salomé’s quirky crime caper Mama Weed with Isabelle Huppert at her insouciant best and Régis Roinsard’s The Translators, a fiendishly clever whodunnit featuring Borgen’s Sidse Babett Knudsen. The final bonus title is romantic comedy In Bed With Victoria by Justine Triet which stars Night Shift’s Virginia Efira in lighter mode as a lawyer who’s trying to balance work, motherhood and dating.
All you need to do is to register on the platform and you’re good to go.
All films are in French with English subtitles and can be rented for £8 (with concessions available) for a 48-hour window. You can also buy a pass for all the films.
Extras include subtitled interviews with directors Emmanuel Mouret, Anne Fontaine; Lucas Belvaux, Jean-Paul Salomé, and Régis Roinsard.
