madeinfranceThis darkly atmospheric shock-thriller takes you on a white-knuckle ride inside a cell of homegrown extremists dedicated to bringing jihad to the streets of Paris. Sam is a Franco-Algerian journalist hoping to write a tell-all exposing the threat of domestic terrorism. Using his knowledge of Islam, he infiltrates a small cadre of extremists led by Hassan, a disgruntled shoe salesman. Originally due for release early last year, it was first withdrawn after the Charlie Hebdo shootings and again after the 13 November attacks. Not seen before in French or, indeed, British cinemas.

If you have skills in marketing, design, logistics, sponsorship, advertising and organisation of events or want to learn and work in a franco-scottish environment join the French Film Festival UK team for the 25th edition. You will be based in the French Institute in Edinburgh shortly to move to a new HQ in Lothian Chambers on George IV Bridge. You will work with colleagues from France, Belgium and other French-speaking countries. Knowledge of French would be useful but not essential. You can check out the Festival on the website.
