A Journey through French cinema / Voyage à travers le cinéma français (15)

tavernierA first-class French director since the 1970s, Bertrand Tavernier knows film history like few others. Here he has created a survey that is deep, insightful, extremely entertaining and personal. Undoubtedly one of the very greatest documentaries about the history of cinema, he delves into French classics, and includes interviews and footage from Jean Renoir, Claude Sautet, Jean-Luc Godard, Louis Malle, Francois Truffaut and Jacques Becker among many. A must for all film lovers.
