Early programme plans revealed
Streamlined edition to feature Costa-Gavras and Guédiguian
We’re delighted to announce our current programme for this 28th edition with plans to run the Festival across November and December 2020.
The programme, which is still a work in progress, will feature films which include classics like Costa-Gavras’ nailbiting thriller The Sleeping Car Murders, running alongside titles such as Papicha and culture-clash comedy Arab Blues. Other familiar names include Robert Guédiguian, whose Gloria Mundi is a heartfelt family drama. Parts of the Festival may be presented online depending on the latest situation with our partner venues.
Festival director Richard Mowe said: “We felt it important that the 28th edition of the French Film Festival UK should continue to keep faith with our colleagues in cinemas and our loyal and enthusiastic audiences stretching from Shetland to Plymouth. The festival will follow the guidelines for distancing and self-protection.”
More titles will be added in August, but in the meantime why not take a look at our programme so far to get a feel of what’s going to be on offer.
The Festival acknowledges the support (among others) of Screen Scotland and the Institut français.
