The Wolf’s Call / Le chant du loup (N/C 15+)

France maintains an overseas military presence in numerous countries, including active combat deployments to the Middle East and West Africa. Against this backdrop the submarine thriller The Wolf’s Call unfurls. With a cast of considerable pedigree including François Civil, Omar Sy, Mathieu Kassovitz, and Reda Kateb it follows in the cinematic tradition of such titles as The Hunter for Red October and Das Boot. With Russia heading towards conflict with Europe the stakes are high and a young sonar technician, played by Civil, has a crucial and nail-biting role to play. Fasten your seat belts – the tension is palpable.

Cast François Civil, Omar Sy, Mathieu Kassovitz, Red Kateb.

Civil shows he has the chops of an action star — making it all fairly riveting to watch. – Hollywood Reporter
