THE RED COLLAR / LE COLLIER ROUGE (N/C 15+)

Adapted from the eponymous novel by Prix Goncourt winner Jean-Christophe Rufin, Jean Becker’s WW1 drama The Red Collar revolves around the interrogation of a decorated war hero. Held prisoner in an abandoned barracks under the crushing heat of summer, he awaits his interrogation by a corrupt judge to the sound of his mangy dog barking night and day. Not far off in the countryside, a young woman works the land, waiting and hoping. These three characters find in their midst, a dog that holds the key to their destinies…
